Robert H. Ross, PhD
Bob received his bachelor’s in economics and his MBA from Cornell University. His Ph.D. in marketing is from the University of Oklahoma. Ross is a long time faculty member in the marketing department in the W. Frank Barton School of Business at Wichita State University, and served as its Chair from 1990 to 2002. He has several recent academic publications in the area of branding and consumer choice behavior.
Prior to co-founding The Research Partnership, Bob spent several years working in the consumer products marketing field, with his last position being as a member of the Brand Management Group at Scott Paper in Philadelphia. Among the brands that he was responsible for were Viva and Scott Family napkins and Cut Rite Wax Paper. In the area of marketing research, Ross was trained in focus group moderation, questionnaire design, and writing and presenting marketing research reports by Burke Marketing Research in Cincinnati.
Ross is active in the Wichita community, having been a participant in the Wichita Chamber of Commerce Leadership Wichita program, and currently serves as President Elect of the Board of Child Start, the local Head Start Agency. A member of the national marketing research association (MRA), Ross is also a past President of the Wichita Chapter of the American Marketing Association.
